Cantonese · Dim Sum · Tea House
Lotus House is a Cantonese tea house built around yum cha — the art of drinking tea, sharing baskets, and letting lunch stretch into the afternoon.
The Ritual
A pot of Iron Goddess or aged Pu-erh arrives first. It rinses the palate and sets the pace.
Steamed baskets, fried parcels, and rice rolls pass by on the cart. Point and it is yours.
Yum cha is not a meal to rush. It is a long conversation held over many small plates.
From the Cart
The trolley rolls by every few minutes. If you see something you like, raise a hand. It is the only ordering system you need.
Chef’s Signatures
Crisp skin, five-spice aroma, plum sauce. Carved tableside for the table.
$58Wok-charred rice noodles with sliced beef and bean sprouts. Wok hei in every strand.
$16Daily catch with ginger, scallion, and soy. Light, clean, and resolutely Cantonese.
MPThe Tea
No meal at Lotus House begins without a pot of tea on the table. The first cup clears the palate. The second invites the conversation. By the third, you have been at the table for two hours and you have not noticed.
Choose from Iron Goddess Oolong, aged Pu-erh, or Hong Kong milk tea — each paired to what you order, never rushed.
A Hong Kong Kitchen
The red lantern and the gold letters have hung over the same doorway since 1984. The recipes are the same. The dim sum is still hand-folded each morning. We are still family-run.
